Meet Our Authors

Shannon Hugman
Shannon Hugman is a writer, professional astrologer, and ocean lover who believes the universe is always talking—we just have to listen. Inspired by teaching yoga to young girls, she wrote Dear Stardust to help coming-of-age readers learn to love themselves. She also conceptualised the Moon Cycles and Me Journal to advocate that loving and learning about one's body can be fun and stress-free.
When she isn’t at the beach or chasing the moon, she helps people listen to their intuition and live cosmically—while also dreaming up the next book in the Stardust universe.

Pilar Rigon
A veteran of New York City’s Italian culinary scene, Pilar’s journey began when she arrived in New York in the mid-90s with her mother’s handwritten recipes notebook and launched her first takeout venture near Columbia University. This led to the opening of Il Bagatto Trattoria—an instant East Village favorite. She later created Miss Williamsburg by restoring a 1940s diner, helping define authentic Italian cuisine in NYC. After developing allergies, she embraced an inclusive, ingredient-conscious approach in her cooking. In 2018, she cofounded Mille Nonne, blending Italian tradition with a modern, zero waste cooking philosophy.
